| Altman Machinery has been offering quality used industrial metalworking machinery and equipment for over 35 years. Started by Howard Altman in 1980, we first occupied a three-story warehouse just west of downtown Chicago (the Sears tower was visible from our office windows!). In 1990, Howard's son Steve joined the business and shortly thereafter, the company realized it had outgrown its building and moved to its present location, two buildings covering 75,000 square feet, on Chicago's southwest side.
We have always prided ourselves on being honest and fair, and strive to make customer service our first priority. We are proud member of the Machinery Dealers National Association (MDNA) and most machines carry a 30-day return privilege (as defined in the MDNA's Code of Ethics). We offer a wide variety of quality used machinery, as well as appraisal and liquidation expertise and financing and trade-ins. We provide detailed and accurate specifications and photos of our inventory, and videos are available for most machines.
